Maggie’s Fight Against Leukemia

Maggie is a precious two year old little girl who is full of life. She always has a smile on her face and has the cutest personality.
Maggie’s parents thought they were taking Maggie to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham to have surgery for chronic ear infections which had caused Bells Palsy. On March 19th doctors surrounded Maggie’s mother, Kathryn, and told her news no mother ever wants to hear. Maggie has Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which is a form of cancer in the blood and bone marrow. What they thought would be a short hospital stay changed drastically as they were transferred to the cancer wing.
Maggie and her family have a long road ahead of them emotionally and financially. Maggie will undergo chemotherapy treatment and possible surgeries. At this time I am not sure of everything the treatment plan will entail.
The family is grateful for their emotional support system, but we all know cancer comes with financial concerns and unexpected expenses from bills, food, clothes, gas, etc. We would like to help this family in any way we can to help take as much stress off of them as possible.
