Lopez family cancer treatment fund

Most of us, if not all have lost at least one person that we love to cancer. We’ve seen them fight until they either win or lose to this horrible and painful disease. We’ve seen the damage it does to not only the patient itself but also the family as a whole. The Lopez family is going through this as I type this and are doing everything and anything to save their mom. Margarita Lopez is a 41-year-old wife and mother of three who started off with just a little spot on her back. This small insignificant spot turned out to be melanoma and shortly after spread to her lungs. At her most recent appointment she was given the horrible news that it has spread to her bones and without treatment she has a life expectancy of 3 – 6 months in spite of all the torturous treatments she’s already endured. This family is a close friend of my family and Maggie’s three children (Albert 22, Andy 17 and Gisselle 15) are former students at Willow Glen Middle School (where I work) and need our help. The family has done its very best and Maggie has continued to work through her pain. Their situation was hard before but it just got harder. Maggie’s pain and physical state is not well enough to work anymore and had to leave her job and not to mention that their rent is being raised by $600 more a month starting this month. So besides everything they’re going through, their financial situation is going to get worst before it gets better. Albert is working as much as he can to help his dad make ends meet and pay for mom’s treatment while Andy and Gisselle are current students at Willow Glen High and are unable to help as much as they’d like. Every little bit counts and matters so please help us get the word out and share our link to get this amazing family the help that it needs to relieve some of the stress and be able to concentrate more on getting Maggie the treatment and care that she needs.
