Help Jeff Mager Fight Burkitt Lypmhoma!

PLEASE SHARE, IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT I've decided to start this fundraiser to help my father, Jeff Mager, through his battle with Burkitt Lymphoma. Burkitt lymphoma is a form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in which cancer starts in immune cells called B-cells. Recognized as a fast growing human tumor, Burkitt lymphoma is associated with impaired immunity and is rapidly fatal if left untreated. Outside of Africa, Burkitt lymphoma is rare. In the U.S., about 1,200 people are diagnosed each year, and about 59% of patients are over age 40.  I've attached a link with more information Burkitt Lymphoma: https://www.medicinenet.com/burkitt_lymphoma/article.htm#what_are_burkitt_lymphomas I am hoping that we can count on family and friends to help my dad get through this. He's not one to ask for help but I know that he is going to need it. I feel that this is a time to turn to family/friends/the community for help. The hospital bills have already started piling up and he was just recently diagnosed. He's already at $3,000 and that is not including the tests they ran today. Today he had a chemo port put in his chest, he got a bone biopsy done, an echocardiogram, and a PET/CT scan; I'm not sure about everything else but I know that the echocardiogram is $3,000 just by itself. With his insurance he has to meet a $12,000 deductible before they will start paying anything towards his medical bills. Once it is January, it's the start of the new year and that deductible will start all over again at $12,000. By the time he is finished with chemotherapy he will more than likely have at least $150,000 in hospital bills. We are going to help him in every way possible as much as we can but we can't do it on our own. He's already going to be going through so much from the chemotherapy, he's going to lose his hair and be extremely sick. He works a physical labor job and I don't see how he will be able to continue working while receiving treatment and at the same time the hospital bills will continue to pile up. Right now we are awaiting the results from all of the tests that were done. Next week we should find out what Stage cancer he has. Currently his treatment plan is: •Dose adjusted R-EPOCH I've attached a link for more information on the R-EPOCH treatment: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/30501868/ -This will be given every 3 weeks, he will be an inpatient at the Univeristy of Iowa for 4-5 days at a time and he will receive 6 cycles of this treatment. •Modified Magrath (R-CoDOX-M / R-IVAC) Even if your unable to donate I want to thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can, please share and continue to share this ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
