Magaly necesita cirugía ocular para proteger su visión

Nuestra hermana Magaly necesita una cirugía ocular especializada,

así que estamos organizando esta campaña para ayudarla a acceder al tratamiento, con todo el amor y apoyo que ella merece para su bienestar.

Magaly vive con una condición poco común llamada síndrome de Parry Romberg, pero lo que enfrenta ahora no se debe directamente a la enfermedad, sino a las consecuencias de una cirugía reconstructiva anterior.

Durante ese procedimiento, se afectaron nervios importantes alrededor de los ojos y la piel fue estirada al grado de que hoy Magaly no puede cerrar completamente los párpados. Esto ha impactado su visión, su descanso y su calidad de vida de forma muy significativa.

Magaly es una mujer increíblemente fuerte, y aunque ha enfrentado muchas dificultades en este proceso, nunca ha dejado de buscar cómo seguir adelante. Se ha adaptado, ha resistido, y ha encontrado maneras de sostenerse frente a todo lo que implica vivir con una condición como esta.

La cirugía que necesita se llama Neurotización Corneal Bilateral, un procedimiento especializado que podría ayudarle a recuperar funcionalidad y proteger sus ojos.

El costo total es de $146,400 MXN pesos mexicanos, que incluye:

Cirugía $61,200 MXN por ojo

Anestesia especializada: $9,000 MXN

Injerto de tejido: $15,000 MXN

Como hermanas, hemos hecho todo lo posible hasta ahora por acompañarla y sostenerla en este proceso, pero esta vez necesitamos ayuda.

Sabemos que algunas personas se han preguntado por qué la campaña sigue activa incluso después de alcanzar cierta cantidad. Queremos explicar con claridad que la meta está basada en un estimado inicial para poder programar la cirugía, pero los gastos no terminan ahí.

Después de la operación vienen nuevas consultas, medicamentos, estudios, seguimiento médico especializado, traslados, días de descanso que afectan su capacidad de trabajar, y posiblemente otras intervenciones necesarias dependiendo de cómo evolucione su recuperación.

Por eso, cualquier cantidad que se siga sumando no solo es bienvenida, sino esencial para acompañar a Magaly durante esta etapa postoperatoria. Magaly lives with a rare condition called Parry Romberg Syndrome, but what she’s facing now is not a direct result of the condition itself it’s due to complications from a previous reconstructive surgery.

During that procedure, important nerves around her eyes were affected, and the skin was stretched to the point that she can no longer fully close her eyelids. This has significantly impacted her vision, her sleep, and her overall quality of life.

Magaly is incredibly strong, and even though this journey has brought many challenges, she has never stopped looking for ways to move forward. She’s adapted, endured, and found ways to support herself while navigating the reality of living with a condition like this.

The surgery she now needs is called Bilateral Corneal Neurotization, a highly specialized procedure that could help restore function and protect her eyes.

The total cost is $146,400 MXN (Mexican pesos), which includes:

Surgery: $61,200 MXN per eye

Specialized anesthesia: $9,000 MXN

Tissue graft: $15,000 MXN

As her sisters, we’ve done everything we can to support her emotionally and financially, but this time we need help.

Once the surgery is done, there will be follow-up appointments, medications, lab tests, medical transportation, recovery time that affects her ability to work, and potentially additional treatments depending on how her healing process unfolds.
