MadTheatre Goes to State

For the first time in 30ish years, Madison HS Theatre has qualified for the State Acting Competition! Help us to get there & to complete our Theatre Travel Experiences of 2020. Our program represents students who traditionally do not receive a lot of financial support to participate in activities and events, so this opportunity is SO important to us. 

The kids have been working hard to raise money for our trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but now that we have qualified to go to State, we are in a bind!  And darn it, our kids and our community are just not flush. Our school is an awesomely diverse public high school representing a community which is over 70%  below the poverty line.  Our admin is awesomely helping with what they can...but trust me, that doesn't get us there. We need your help to send about 25 kids to participate in Theatre activities of a lifetime.

Monies donated will cover van rentals, lodging, some meals, and conference costs. Travel will take place early April. In return we will hand-write thank-you notes to anyone who provides contact details, telling about our experiences.

Thanks to this posting leading us to generous housing assistance, we’ve been able to reduce our financial need! Yay!!!
