Madison's Medical
Donation protected
Madison was riding her horse, Faith, when she took a tumble off the horse and hit the gate. She was taken to the local hospital and then transported by ambulance to the Children's Hospital in Tulsa. Madison suffered a severe concussion, broken rib and severe bruising on her lung. The fall was so significant that it created blood-filled cysts in her lung.
Madison has since been released from the hospital but still cannot go to school. She still suffers from double-vision and the bruise on the back of her head is indicative of a possible skull fracture. A follow up with a concussion specialist is scheduled and an MRI with & without contrast is also being scheduled.
Brendon & Cassie (Madison's parents) do not have medical insurance. Financial aid paperwork has been completed and submitted to the hospital but that does not cover the additional doctor visits (pulmonologist, concussion specialist, eye doctor and pediatrician) or any additional tests. Cassie has to stay home to care for Madison so they have lost her income as well.
To add to the tragic story, while Madison was in the hospital, the hay baler caught fire and is totally destroyed. The back of the tractor also suffered some damage. There was no insurance on the hay baler and the insurance deductible for the tractor is set at $1,000.00.
