<div>For the first time in many years, our dear friend <strong>Madison has hope again</strong>. However, her health insurance has denied coverage for life-restoring treatment because Mayo Clinic is out of state and out of network. Madison went to Mayo despite having to pay out of pocket for diagnostic consultations, which exhausted her finances. At Mayo, she found a team of specialists who were able to quickly identify her severe endometriosis and related issues and damage, and make a recovery plan.

<div>After years of declining health and chronic pain coupled with a string of misdiagnoses and mistreatments that only compounded her suffering and despair, Madison had become unable to function, living in daily pain and completely housebound. When things seemed hopeless, she received a letter from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where her request for a consultation had been approved.

<div>Hope has been restored, but even the diagnostic process has completely drained Madison’s financial resources. Now she faces months of surgeries, treatments, and therapies that will well exceed $100,000.00, not including the costs of travel and lodging.

<div>I’ve been fighting a brutal combination of diseases—Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, and Central Sensitization Syndrome (CSS). Together, they’ve caused years of relentless pain, loss of mobility, and a long series of medical procedures. I even needed ostomy surgery just to continue treatment and stay strong enough for what comes next.
</div>
<div>So far, I’ve faced more than $66,000 in out-of-pocket medical expenses. I’m now preparing for more pain-management treatments, a hysterectomy this spring, and 6–18 months of neurological and physical therapy to rebuild my pain pathways. We’re hopeful that once the underlying causes are treated, my stoma can eventually be reversed.

<div>The only reason I’ve made it this far is the incredible love and generosity of family, friends, and kind strangers in this GoFundMe community. I am also deeply grateful for Mayo Clinic's remarkable team of specialists who have cared for me—the skilled doctors and nurses, as well as the compassionate staff who changed my bedding, helped me move from treatment to treatment, and treated me with dignity on the hardest days. Their kindness has carried me through more than they know.
