Madison needs a miracle

Most of you know I've been working as a volunteer in a nonprofit organization in Costa Rica. Abriendo Mentes is located in a rural area of the Guanacaste Province where most local families struggle to meet their basic needs. The lack of education is the main reason why I came to work here. I have met amazing people and I am totally in love with my students. I admire them as they teach me to be a better person everyday.

Sadly, today life is giving us another lesson to learn. Little Madison is 7 years old and today she is struggling with Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) tumor. GBM is a devastating brain cancer that typically results in death in the first 15 months after diagnosis. 

This is breaking my heart in a thousand pieces. Today I reach out to you for help. MADISON NEEDS A MIRACLE.

Please help me give this little angel a second chance. Madison's family lives in extreme poverty (they live in a tin house with no floors or bathroom), and they need to afford Chemotherapy in San Jose (Costa Rica's capital which is 6 hours away from Brasilito), they need to afford travelling to the city, and of course, they need to make sure Madison stays strong. 

Any help is welcome and appreciated. $1, $2, $5, $10, $20 and so on.  There is no donation that will be too small for this extremely impoverished family.  A donation of $1 will help keep Madison hydrated for three days.  A donation of $5 will cover the cost of her bus trip to San Jose.  A donation of $11 will provide 3 nutrient-rich meals for Madison, containing substansial and necessary nutrients that are not found in her typical diet of rice and beans.
