The Madison Mavericks Pro basketball team asks for community’s help as they head to Final Four in Orlando We’ve seen players on the Madison Mavericks rofessional basketball team give back to the community in many ways off the court. But on the court, they continue their miraculous inaugural season. Now they need the community’s help in their push for a championship. The Madison Mavericks won the official basketball league north division title and now they are heading to Orlando for the Final Four.

The inaugural season for the Madison Mavericks has been a great success on and off the court, with many players giving back to the community. The team finished the regular season 12-3. After winning the official basketball league central division playoffs, the Quad City United is off to Orlando to play in the Final Four.
I am excited to tell you that Madison now has a semi-professional basketball franchise. The Madison Mavericks! This is our inaugural year and we are playing in the OBA. We are working to build a new team from the ground up and bring high level basketball to the Madison community. I’m excited about this new opportunity as I get to expand my career as it relates to the business of
basketball and help young players reach their goals on continuing to the next level.
The OBA is a league across the Midwest. We will play against other teams in our region- and the players are primarily ex-college players looking to extend their careers and maybe go to the next level. The OBA intends to put players in front of NBA and European scouts – as well as any other professional opportunity we can find for these guys.
The Mavericks will focus not only on basketball – but using basketball as a platform to help the community and develop our players as future community leaders. To do this we need help with our initial funding to make sure our first year is a success. Your support will fund community programs such as camps, mentoring, travel and reduce ticket prices for kids. Funds will help with equipment and travel cost reductions for the players and coaches. Additionally, funds will be used for game day advertising and making this first year a foundational success we can build on for the future.
We know that you have a lot of options when it comes to giving back to the community. Your donation to the Mavericks provides a great return on investment as the benefits extend beyond basketball and help us impact the community. With a strong focus on community, leadership, and athletic excellence the Mavericks will help to improve the community through our outreach programs and build the leaders for tomorrow.
