Madison and the Journey of Slightly More Than Expected

Hi friends!

I feel a strong call on my heart to step into missionary training this year. Over the past season, I’ve sensed the Lord breaking off insecurities—especially around creativity and using my voice to share His heart for people. He’s been stirring in me a desire to tell stories through film and evangelism that reflect His beauty, truth, and love for His creation—with both excellence and authenticity.

There’s a specific program that I feel suddenly and deeply drawn to—like a door opening at just the right moment—it’s called One Collective, through YWAM Germany. The dates for this program are May 24, 2025-June 6, 2025. Their mission is to equip missionaries to share the Gospel through creativity—a form of communication that goes beyond words and speaks directly to the heart. I truly believe this program will give me the tools to step more fully into this calling and begin ministering to others through one of God's most powerful languages: creativity. The way Jesus spoke in parables is a beautiful reminder that some truths are best carried in pictures and stories.

To take part in this first program, I need to raise $1,250 by May 24, 2025. (I’m like a traveler with a sack on a stick, kindly asking the village for provisions). The $925 that has been given is just enough for my plane ticket! Thank you all SO much. The program leaders have been so gracious to push the due date back for me so that I can attend. This will cover all expenses including travel, housing, meals, and training. I know it's right around the corner but I believe God can do it! Later this year, October 2025, I also feel led to attend YWAM Kona, a six-month discipleship training where I’ll be equipped to share the Gospel through personal, heart-to-heart conversations and evangelism. I carry a deep desire to speak truth about who Jesus really is and clear away any misconceptions about His story. My heart is to talk about our friend, Father, and Rescuer—Jesus—with love and creativity, wherever I go. And to know Him more intimately every day. For this program I need to raise $9,250 by September 2025. This will cover travel, food, housing and lessons.

While I don’t have the space here to share my full testimony, this image captures something my words sometimes can’t. It’s a glimpse into what God has done in my life.

On the left: a before me. Eyes tired, expression uncertain—like a hobbit trying to look brave while quietly panicking about second breakfast.

On the right: a current me. Same face, different light in the eyes. As if Someone has taken a lantern to the caverns of my soul.

He has literally transformed me from the inside out. Scripture isn’t kidding when it says He’ll do that. He can be funny about it too; the whole new identity thing in the form of actual ID's made me laugh—and cry.

And this is what I want people to know about Him. God longs to love us so deeply into our original design, and give us the kind of freedom nothing can imitate.

I want to share that in every way I can. To be the hands and feet of Jesus—and maybe even His camera, too.
