Madi's Research in Iceland

I have been selected for the amazing opportunity to serve as a Research Intern with Global Treks and Adventures this summer in Iceland! What that means is that I will be able to put the skills that I have been learning, as a Socio-Cultural Anthropologist, into practice. I'll be conducting ethnographic research with the people around Reykjavik, where a majority of the people in Iceland live. I will first be conducting preliminary research remotely (about 3 months total of "mobile research"), then my team and I will be collecting data in Iceland for a little over a week in July. For the rest of the summer, and into the fall, I'll be in charge of compiling my findings--which will ultimately go into a publication on the area. This is the ultimate dream internship for me, but I need your help to get there! This GoFundMe will cover the cost of the expedition portion of this internship: the airfare & baggage, supplies, passport cost, and room & board while I'm there.
