Madera County Law Enforcement Baker 2 Vegas team

This Friday, December 29th, a 7 man team of deputies will begin a 24 hour team workout. The workout will start Friday at 3pm until Saturday at 3pm. This 24 hour workout challenge is the ultimate test of physical and mental strength. These deputies will be awake and exercising for 24 hours straight. The Sheriff’s Office knows the importance of being both mentally and physically healthy and this workout is a kickoff fundraiser for our Madera County Law Enforcement Baker to Vegas Relay Team.

The money earned from this fundraiser will help support the Baker to Vegas Relay Team participate in the 120 mile race which begins in Baker, California and ends in Las Vegas, Nevada. The race will be held from March 16-18, 2018. The Baker to Vegas relay is considered to be one of the most prestigious and unique international law enforcement foot races in the world. It is the largest law enforcement event of its kind in the world with teams participating from Canada, Australia, Germany, Sweden, and all throughout the United States. This will be the first time in the 30 years of the race that Madera County will have its own team entered.

Deputies participating in this challenge, as well as the Baker to Vegas Race, are not on duty. They are not being paid and are not receiving any funding from the Sheriffs Office.
