Madelyn and Grady
Madelyn and Grady recently have found out one of the unborn twin baby girls are struggling. "Baby B" isn’t developing anymore, she is 18 weeks and 3 days, weighing 8oz. Her heart is slowly slowing down, and she isn’t getting the right amount of nutrients and blood flow that her body needs to grow. She currently has a bowel obstruction in her small bowel, her organs are slowly starting to shut down and she isn’t moving near as much as she should be. They are scared she is slowly starting to pass away.
The doctors have suggested doing a cord ablation to "Baby B" which is where they cut her cord from the placenta and stop all blood flow to her which will cause her heart to stop beating, and she will eventually pass away. If Madelyn and Grady don’t do this, and Baby B passes away while in the womb and is connected to the placenta it could cause serious brain damage to "Baby A" or worse, they could end up losing the both of them.
Their current insurance will not pay for the procedure to be done. They will need to pay upfront the cost of the procedure, which they only have limited funds.
They are still calling and looking into other hospitals that are advanced in this field of medicine to see if they can help financially and allow them to do payment plans. If they can’t find anywhere that will do this then there will be nothing that can done to help the twin girls. They will have to wait and see what happens with both of the girls. Madelyn and the girls will be closely monitored until Baby B passes will go in twice a week for ultrasounds to monitor Baby A. However, the doctors have said if Baby B passes before anything can be done Baby A could develop Cerebral Palsy.
Prayers for the little ones, Madelyn, Grady, and their oldest daughter Reagan. It is a very trying time for them. All prayers are still greatly appreciated and needed now as much as possible as they through this very difficult time.
Any help you can give, prayers, words of encouragement, money would go every far. The money collected by donations are strictly for Madelyn and Grady for medical bills not covered by their insurance.
Thank you all for taking the time to read.
Blessings,
Crystal
