Maddy's Last Gift to Nan

In 2010, our friend Nancy witnessed her husband accidentally electrocuted in front of her.  Nancy developed PTSD, and her therapist recommended that she obtain an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) which Nancy did.  Maddy has been Nancy’s constant companion since 2010 and Nancy has often said that she was a Gift from God.  In April, Maddy had serious health problems and underwent surgery to remove her spleen.  She and Nancy were recovering, and things looked bright.  Then tragically, while out on her morning walk, Maddy was attacked by a very large dog.  Even though Nancy struggled with the dog, was dragged down the sidewalk and bitten, and wrenched both hands from trying to get Maddy out of the jaws of the larger dog, it was too late.  Maddy died on the way to the emergency veterinarian hospital. This GoFundMe is to help pay some of the costs of Maddy’s vet bills, and to help purchase a new ESA for Nancy.  Nancy and Maddy have been a part of our lives for many years, and we miss our lovely Maddy, and we work to comfort our friend, Nancy.
