Support Maddie's Milestones

Donation protected
My family and I have had many calls and emails regarding the best way that our friends, family and supporters can assist in Maddie (My Grand Daughter, Madelyn Olivia Alexander) and her family's welfare. As many of you would expect caring for a terminally ill child brings on many challenges. Unexpected expenses occur daily and it's hard to prepare for these.

A friend suggested that I start a Go Fund Me page so that those who would like to assist can do so easily and as often as they would like and can also share and follow Maddie's story, hopefull as an inspiration to others who may also be experiencing similar circumstances.

Here is a note from my daughter, Monet regarding Maddie's current condition:

Madelyn Olivia Alexander update (as of 1/7/18)

"It has now been a week and 2 days since babygirl was born, and all the doctors and research say she's beating the odds still bec...ause most babies with #trisomy18 don't make it as long as she has so far. We learned that's she has 2 holes in her heart and she has a problem with her liver which eventually will put her into liver failure but still trying to look at the positive, I been able to see her smile, and cry and eat, sleep and poop! We are still not able to take her home yet but we've learned a lot and both Brandon Alexander and I feel like certified doctors at this point. A lot of people manage to ask us how we feel and sometimes we don't know how to answer that question. We are happy she's alive but sad at the thought of her dying. There's not a second that goes by without us being worried that its going to be her last breath. We both agreed that right now we will not waste our time being sad, we'll have the time for that later, right now we will be happy for what we do have. Even though its hard to see her hooked up the machines every day or sticking and NG tube down her nose or watching her get fed through a syringe, we thank god that she's not in any pain, that she has no major external defects, and we thank god that we been able to spend as much time with her as we want to see her little feisty personality that she obviously gets from me :) . We love her so much and hopefully we'll get to bring her home soon! Thank you to all the people who check up on us and to my family for making sure that we eat, shower or if we need babysitters for Peyton, I honestly don't know what I would do without our support system from family and friends."

We thank you in advance for your support and continued prayers!
