Madagascar 2025
Donation protected
In July 2025 I will be part of a trip to the African island of Madagascar. I am part of a group of school students from Ullswater Community College, in Penrith, who will be helping specialists from Operation Wallacea with environmental research. We will be assisting in the surveying and conservation of rare and protected species of plants and animals in Madagascar, one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, allowing us to help the ecosystems survive and thrive. During our first week we will be working closely with locals in the dry forest, and during our second week we will be SCUBA diving in a newly protected area of coral reef. As a part of my fundraising, I, along with my supportive Auntie Susie, will be braving the cold waters of Lake Windermere when we swim half a mile as part of the Great North Swim. Any funds and donations would be greatly appreciated in helping me reach Madagascar and take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you truly for all and any support.
