I am raising money to help my sister and her husband with traveling cost for my niece. Need money to help with traveling 2 to 3 times a week on a 4 hour drive. It cost about a 100 dollars a trip. She has been in different hospitals and facilities for a year now. So we have been traveling back and forth since then. I also want to get funds to pay for a sitter or companion to visit her a few times a week when we cant be there. She needs interaction. She is still on a vent. We are in the process of weaning her. She hasnt been able to eat, drink, or talk since June. So it doesnt look like coming home any time soon. She is improving to not being on the vent a few hours out of the day. But has to when she sleeps because she basically stops breathing. Praying to have a swallow study soon and maybe have some fluids. We have to work so it makes it hard for us to go there often. It is our prayers that she can get strong enough to return home. A bigger motorized wheel chair will need to be purchased and the expansion of doorways. God is always in control. Prayers of healing is needed. Anything will help.
