Hi everyone! My name is Beth Bratton Gee and I have created this go fund me for my brother, Cody Bratton and his wife, Kristy Hill. Their son, my nephew Macon Ravenwood Bratton was born on September 11, 2025 at 4:55pm weighing just 5lbs 15oz at St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, Tx. He was born premature at 35 weeks. In the NICU it was discovered that his lungs are severely underdeveloped. He had two blood transfusions and was maxed out on oxygen. He also had trouble controlling his own body temperature. On Saturday September 13, 2025 his oxygen saturation dropped dangerously low into the 70’s while maxed out on oxygen. He was then life flighted from St. Micheal’s Hospital in Texarkana, TX to Little Rock Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Ar. Upon arrival Macon was taken to the NICU where he was sedated and intubated. He is currently on life support while the amazing staff at Children’s do their best to make sure he improves. Currently, they are having to fluctuate medications based on his needs. Right now they are also treating him for pulmonary hypertension. He had a PAL( Peripheral Artery Line) placed as well as a PICC(Peripheral Inserted Central Catheter). The doctor’s have said they are doing their best to keep Macon off ECMO(Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation). The purpose of this would be to provide oxygen to the body when the lungs are unable to function properly and to give Macon’s organs to rest and recover. ECMO(or bypass) is a last stitch effort to save him and will only be used if he declines further. It is our hope and prayer that Macon will continue to improve in the NICU and eventually come home.
