At the beginning of 2022, at just 20 years old, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. It’s been a very hard year for myself, my family, and my friends. The support I have received from macmillan and teenage cancer trust has been incredible and no words will ever describe how grateful i am for everything they’ve done for not only me, but my family. Due to September being thyroid cancer awareness month, I wanted to do something special to not only raise awareness, but to raise money for the two organisations that have helped me throughout the year. The amazing company that I work for ( ideal care-homes, Hepworth house) have decided to help me and pay for me to do a sponsored sky dive!!! This will all be occurring very shortly, my original skydive was cancelled but it’s all been rebooked!
I’m going to be facing my two biggest fears, (heights, and flying!!) in order to raise money for these organisations. All money raised will be split equally between the two so in the future, they can give people the support they have given me throughout the year. I can’t physically express how much these organisations have helped me and will continue to help me with anything I ever need. Any donations and sponsors I will forever be grateful for, and I guess, the preparation starts now!
