Mack’s Fight Fund
Donation protected
Our Mack Man entered this world on November 20, 2019. A few short days later on November 24, he suddenly stopped breathing at home. By the grace of God, his amazing parents' quick thinking, and the amazing EMS team that responded to the call, Mack was able to be resuscitated and airlifted to Prisma Children's Hospital. The next few days and weeks were some of the hardest our family has ever walked through, but Mack man surprised every medical professional he encountered and against all odds was able to breathe on his own. His initial PICU stay was 25 days, and he has since visited the PICU again for 14 days for a pneumonia scare. After remaining home and thriving for the last several months, he is currently in yet another lengthy hospital stay battling RSV.
This fundraising effort is in attempt to help offset some of the astounding medical costs Mack's treatments have and will continue to incur. Many therapies and treatments for anoxic brain injury patients are considered experimental and therefore are not typically covered by insurance. Kris and Jessi have also invested and are continuing to explore investments in equipment for their home to assist with therapy and treatment.
Any donation toward this goal is so greatly appreciated but even more than that our family covets your prayers. I am convinced that it is only by the grace of God and the many prayers of our family and friends that Kris and Jessi, Hardin and Nola are still standing after the trauma that their family has endured. Thank you to all who have and will continue to pray, and thank you in advance to those of you who consider donating to this fundraising effort.
