Maci Mae’s Fight Against MDS

Maci Mae is a beautiful 16 month old baby girl. She has the sweetest soul and the most contagious smile.  On Feb. 7th, 2019, Maci was scheduled to have a bone marrow biopsy due to concerns about her fluctuating blood levels. During the procedure, Maci started to bleed internally. We almost lost her. They performed CPR and finally got her stable. She was sedated and put on life support. She stayed in the hospital for a month. During that time she experienced another bleed. She went through many tests, xrays, ct scans, etc. But, she survived even when the doctors didn’t think she would. During that month, Maci was diagnosed with MDS. A form of blood cancer that only effects 4 out of 1 million children. The only potential  cure for MDS is a bone marrow transplant. She will receive high-dose chemotherapy before her transplant. The entire process takes around 3 months.  The hospital Maci has to stay at is across state. Treylin, her daddy, will be out of work the entire time to be with us through everything. Since we are a one income household, we are asking for donations to help keep us afloat during this time since bills do not stop and every day expenses build up, as well as medical expenses. We are incredibly thankful for everything that has been done for us. Maci has such an amazing army behind her and we know that she will beat this.  If you cannot donate, please pray for her.
