Please Bring Macho Home

Hello everyone, 

It is with a heavy heart that I share this information with all of you. My brother's furry family member, Macho, is at the vet. He is in very bad condition, and has been there for the past 2 days. The doctors are still struggling to treat him.

If you know my brother, and you follow his Facebook, you know that he posts about 3 things: his newborn baby Riley, welding stuff, and probably the most common post: his corgi named Macho. This doggy  continues to bring so much joy to my brother's life. He checks to see if you are okay, he listens and tilts his head sideways when you talk to him, and he loves to play all the time.  They LOVE this dog. And to them, this is not just a dog, it is Riley's older brother.

But right now Macho needs our help.

Here is a message from Charlie:

"He's my biggest supporter, my best friend, my little buddy, my workout partner- everything you could ever want. He has done nothing wrong. All he ever asks for is to tug on a rope, squeak a toy, or throw a ball. He was there to soothe my tensions whenever I had a bad day at work. He was always there to answer the door with a goofy smile on his face.

Last week he wasn't eating. We noticed blood in his stool and his urine was thick and dark yellow. We went in for lab work and didn't find anything. Later in the week we took him in because now his stool was black and hard. Vet found a tender area in upper stomach. Vet did X-ray and found an enlarged liver. He was admitted to VCA Aiea for ultra sound and more detailed care for his condition. They have found that he has Pancreatitis and an Ulcer. He also has an enlarged liver wall. Treatment includes being hooked up to a machine to give the meds and blood transfusions."

They have already paid every penny they have, and right now they are going through a tough financial time. They are even selling their car to try and help with the vet bill. The bill is currently over $7,000  and each day that Macho is treated, the number increases by over a thousand dollars. If they stop treatments, he will not make it through the night.
