Mabie May’s Surgery Funds!

A close friend of mine had a dog show up on her porch last Saturday September 14th. My roommate and I decided to take her into our home. She is a blue tic coonhound that we named Mabel :). Right now Mabel is being fostered by a close friend of ours until we get her approved to live in our apartment.

It was very clearly that Mabel had been dumped. No owners have come forward despite our efforts to getting her back to her family (if she had one). We didn’t have the heart to bring her to a shelter because it was clear she’s already been through too much. Plus, it was too easy to fall in love with her.

This morning we brought Mabel to get her vaccines. Here we discovered Mabel is not spayed and and will need to undergo the surgery. We also found out that she will need to undergo heart worm treatment. There are not a lot of cheap options when it comes to getting Mabel spayed, and we’ve already spent a pretty penny on vaccines, medications and other things of that nature. We are kindly asking for any donations in order to fundraise for Mabel’s surgery. Thank you everyone who has supported us during this situation. We truly want the best for Mabel because she is such a sweetheart!
