<div>On September 11, 2024, while I was home sick with COVID, my car was vandalized. I didn’t realize what had happened until the following evening. That car was my lifeline—my only way to get to work and maintain my financial stability.

<div>I tried everything to keep going. I spent $2,900 in six weeks on transportation just to keep my job, but it wasn’t sustainable. I had no choice but to sell my damaged car for only $835—just enough to put something toward rent.

<div>Without reliable transportation, I had to take a leave of absence from my full-time job on September 19. Then, due to the overwhelming stress and instability, I lost my part-time job as well.

<div>To make matters worse, my landlord refused to take responsibility for the false advertising of the property’s security and has continued burying me in late fees instead of working with me. Now, I am facing eviction while struggling to afford food, medical care, and even basic necessities.

<div>I have tried every resource available, but the support in my area is limited. Most programs are restricted to parents with children under 18 or individuals over 65 with disabilities. I do not qualify for any of these, and I am running out of time.
