Due to a missed e-mail from the Department of Immigration to finalise my wife's application for permanent residency, the Department gave us the heart breaking news that she along with our 14 year old daughter Kendall(who was born in the U.S) had to leave the country and reapply for permanent residency from another country.
All our legal efforts were exhausted to keep our family together, my wife Samantha and Kendall had to leave our family home in rural NSW at the end of February and fly overseas to the U.S.A.
Now they are living in a motel for a unknown amount of time while they reapply for permanent residency. Samantha and myself have been married for 10 years, and have 3 children together – Sydney 9, Junior 7 and Olivia 5 – all of who are missing their sister and mother terribly.
All the money we had aside for the application have been depleted from funding travel and trying to support 2 families in 2 different countries, on opposite sides of the world. This is means that the likelihood of getting our family back together quickly isn’t going to happen without some support from kind-hearted people.
The cost of an application for permanent residency with a dependent is $9,975, which we did have, but after paying for flights, motels and food – Its going quickly. To top everything off, Covid has made flight prices skyrocket, so when the application is finally approved, the cost of flights home are anywhere from $3,000 - $20,000.
The amount of stress we are under is unmeasurable. All we want is our family back together.
My babies need their mother, and I need my wife the love of my life back.
