Ginny's Family Fund

For the past two months, my dad has been driving an hour each way to and from the hospital in Washington, DC, and our house in Silver Spring, MD, just about every day. The commute, on top of the emotional stress of my mom's health, has been especially taxing for him. I had the idea of raising funds to help pay for him to stay in the hotel adjacent to the hospital, where rates are $139/night. That way, he could be with my mom everyday and hopefully get some more rest and better preserve his mental health. He would also be able to get to the hospital quickly at any time if anything were to happen and he needed to be there. My grandma will also be in town to see my mom and would benefit greatly from being able to stay in the hotel when she is visiting.

I have been traveling back and forth several times over the last two months between New York, where I live and work full-time, and DC, where my mom is in the hospital. The secondary use of these funds would be for any of these further travel expenses. My work has been very gracious and understanding of the circumstances, but I am running out of paid time off, so any contributions toward travel would help immensely.
