Hi My name is Jerri Leigh. I'm a 51 year old wife and mother of four.I have been happly married to James for 30 years. We have lived in Charleston ,S.C. for all our lives.We have ran a successful Painting and Contracting business for the last 14 years. Before that I was a cosmetologist and James worked for Bayer Coperation. Our oldest daughter Christina is 34 years old and has been happily married to our son in law Paul, they have been married 12 years . They both sell real estate her in our hometown of Charleston S.C.
Our oldest son Ross is 25 years old and is a current EO officer in the United States Army. He is stationed in Grafenwoer ,Germany for the past three years. He has six more months of the tour.He also has served a tour in Afganastan . He is married to our daughter in law Emma.They have our first granddog an alaskan malamute named Zeke.
Our second son is Parker . He is 22 years old and works locally here in Charleston . He also works in our family owned business as well.
Our youngest daughter Scarlett is 17 years old and is currently a senior at Summerville High School where she is an honor student and will attend college in the fall. She is currently employed at Dorchester County District two school offices.
As you can see and hear our lives were pretty much normal until December2014 when I started feeling extremely tired. Then in January I was given a grim diagnosis of Stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis to my liver. Since then our lives are upside down with doctor appointments, surgeries, second opinions and talks of best regiments.
There is no cure only remission at best . I'm okay with that seeing how I have always put my faith above all human knowledge. I know Jesus will provide for me and my family as HE always has. Without miracles and prayer is where there is no hope. And without hope there is nothing. I know we have along painful expensive journey ahead but I know He will carry me as I cross one bridge to another. I am strong and will fight to live . I have a wonderful home church of Seacoast and many close relatives and friends who pray for us daily. I am so grateful for all their prayers gifts,food, and their visits .
