For Hope

This page is for our friend Hope. Hope was born with something called proximal femoral focal deficiency... Which means she was born without a femur bone. Treatment for this is amputation of the affected leg, and then a prosthesis.

Because of the nature of this malformation Hope requires a specialized prosthesis that, when it is working the way it should, allows Hope to live the way she wishes to: being an active, productive person.

Unfortunately, a prosthesis like this is extraordinarily expensive. The prosthesis she has now has malfunctioned and is going to cost thousands of dollars to repair. She also requires multiple scans, and she is facing enormous medical bills.

We are asking that you help our Hope get the help she needs so that she may continue to work and play, and to live life as "normally" as possible.
