Plast is Ukrainian scouting. Just like America's Boy Scouts are prepared for life, Ukrainian scouts are preparing for life as well. In Ukraine, scouting is very underdeveloped when compared to the USA. In the USA 0.82% of citizens are scouts, and in Ukraine only - 0.02%. That's right, even with only 9,000 people, Plast is the largest scout and youth organization in Ukraine. Plast is a journey, it is communication between peers from all over the country, it is tent camps. Here, playing, children learn responsibility and teamwork, develop creative thinking and leadership. In today's reality, 80% of Ukrainians never leave the territory of their region. Often scout camps can offer the first chance many children have to experience nature and meet other children from the West, East, North, and South of Ukraine. Scouting for Ukraine is a chance for a better future. These children will grow up to be successful people who will contribute to the development of their country.
