Samson's Fight

Hi everyone my name is Samson, I'm going to tell you my story. It all started back in June when my mom and dad found out they were having another baby, they were so excited and even more happy to hear i was a boy! Everything was going fine until December, my mom noticed that she was getting bigger and bigger way bigger then when she had my sister, so she went to the doctor and ask that they give her aultrasound. She went and was told she had to see a doctor asap cuz she was carrying extra water and that there was fluids in my belly, she went to her doctor and they hooked her up to a heart machine to watch my heart rate. The doctor didn't like what she seen so she sent my mom to foothills in Calgary and they did the same thing, hooked my mom up to the heart monitoring machine for 19 hours!! Finally at 4:00 am they decided it was time for me to come out cause my heart rate kept going really low then coming back up again and they didn't want to wait till it would crash and not recover so at 4:44 am I came into this world at 32 weeks. As soon as I came out I was rushed to the NICU and hooked up to a whole bunch of machines to help me breath and give me fluids. I had a tube down my throat so they didn't hear me cry for the first 2 weeks!! After staying at the foothills for a bit I was moved to childrens hospital so they could do surgery on my bowels, I was only 8 days old. As I'm telling this I have been gaining weight and am finally able to have my moms milk through a tube that goes in my nose to my belly. We are not sure yet when I can come home so my mom and dad drive everyday to come and see me. My mom and dad are counting down the days till I can come home and we can all be together. All the money raised will going towards gas for driving back and forth and hotel costs for the nights we have to stay in the city, as we are spending more then we make. ( in the first week we spent $2200 on gas, food and hotels)
