Hello everyone and thank you for visiting!
I am asking for your help in supporting me on a mission trip that will focus on an issue that has leaned into my soul.
On May 14, I'll be embarking on a two-week mission trip to the Philippines with an organization called Wipe Every Tear.
This organization is about rescuing girls who have been trafficked in the sex trade and providing them a safe place of refuge, hope and grace.
Every night in Angeles City, a place outside the city of Manila, over 15,000 girls are forced to sell their bodies. We’ll begin our trip by heading out to this area to meet and interact with girls ensnared in the sex trade with the hope that we’ll take at least 50 or so on a 5-day "Girls Getaway" to a nearby beach resort.
Once at this getaway destination, we’ll provide for their basic human needs, serve and love on them, and God willing, help them leave their circumstance and transition to one of the organization’s Safe Houses.
Once at the Safe House, these girls will receive room and board, living expenses, counseling, and most of all, love and reinforcement that their lives matter. They will also receive an education and scholarship opportunities. Education allows women to create a brighter future for themselves and their loved ones. For that simple reason, it is believed that education is key to breaking the chains of sex trafficking.
The total cost of this trip is $3,700 and includes:
· $1,900 -- Wipe Every Tear costs, which includes shelter, meals and transportation in and around the Philippines.
· $1,800 -- airfare to and from Manila, Philippines
Please know that every single dollar raised will go directly to the ministry of Wipe Every Tear.
