My family and I are saddened by the unexpected passing of my husband, Kichy Kansou...... Kichy was father to our two children, ages 3 years, and almost 1 year old.
Kichy is from the small island of Chuuk in Micronesia, born on December 29, 1985. He was the youngest of 4 siblings.
He came to Hawaii in his early 20's and began working at Duke's Waikiki in 2008. He was a humble, hardworking, caring person, who enjoyed making everyone happy.
Kichy fell ill and entered an emergency room on January 12, 2018. He was in the emergency room and then transferred immediately into the ICU at Straub Hospital. From the ICU, our family was informed that he had kidney and liver failure. On the third night in ICU Kichy was placed on life support, and on the fourth day, January 14, 2018, at 5:06 a.m. he passed away--- just three days before our daughter's first birthday.
My family and I have set up this fund to assist with Kichy's funeral costs and to support our children. We sincerely appreciate everyone who donates anything they can.
