Tom's medical fund

Our Names are Kayla Bayne and Megan Gostling and we are hoping to raise money for our father/step father Tom Bayne.  After several months of pain which we believed were tonsile stones he went in for surgery this past January 2015 to get his tonsils removed.  When he woke up from anesthesia, the doctors had some different news to tell him than he was expecting.  They ended up finding growths in his throat, which they thought could be cancerous.  After a weeks worth of test, it was confirmed to be what the doctors had expected.  He was diaginosed with squamous cell carcinoma in his throat.
Upon hearing this news, the doctors began radiation treatments within the week.  His treatment is five days a week for 6 weeks equaling 30 total treatments.  Thankfully, he is in his last week of treatments.  It has been a rough ride, but Tom has handled it with a positive attitude and his awesome sense of humor even when he was not feeling very well.
Sometimes it just hurt to talk, not to mention eating or drinking.  Honestly we could spend a long time talking about the side effects accociated with his treatments, but instead we want you as the reader to know who he is as a person.
From my perspective as his bioligical daughter (Kayla Bayne), I think I have the greatest dad in the world.  I know almost everyone will say the same for theirs, but its the love and care he shows me and everyone else who surrounds him that makes him so great!  He has taught me to be open- minded to everyone I meet and help those that I can.  He has also taught me that I should be the best me that I can be and most importantly that he will always be proud of me.
As his inherited step daughter Megan, or as we like to say "Bonus" daughter, I never would have thought I would care so much about someone who is family, but not blood family.  When my mother married Tom, it was a very hard time in my life.  Like any 15 year old girl at the time whose parents were recently divorced, I never thought I could let someone else be a father figure to me, or as I would have said "Tell me what to do."  Over time I matured and learned that all he really wanted for me was anything he would wish for his own daughter.  I learned to care for him and love him as if he were my own father as well.  Not everyone can say they have two sets of parents that they care for equally.  Tom has been a great role model in my life; he has taught me so much and has really helped me appreciate everything he has done for me.  Tom is an amazing person inside and out and anyone you would meet that knows him would agree.
Unfortunately, the cost associated with this type of treatment can be extream.  We are hoping that some of you whos lives Tom has touched will be able to make a donation to help defer some of these expenses.  If you are able to, please do.  If not we ask that you please share this link and story to your timelines and any other places you feel would be beneficial.  We really appreciate any and everything you guys can do to help in advance.
Thank You and God Bless!
