Hunter the cat's treatment
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alex and I am fundraising for my beautiful cat Hunter who has unfortunately been diagnosed with Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP).
The medication, which is very expensive is still not widely available.
He unfortunately has also been diagnosed with Feline leukaemia virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunoodeficiency virus (FIV) which I have been told has never been heard of at my Vets practice to have all 3.
This was unfortunately picked up by getting bitten by other infected cats.
The last 2 have no cure but can be managed. Unfortunately FIP is quite deadly if left untreated. This is the virus that he is showing symptoms for. Loss of appetite and very lethargic when just a couple of weeks before he was one of the most energetic and playful cats.
Hunter will have to go on a 12 week course of pills/serum of GS-441524.
This is relatively new medicine and has a high success rate.
I would love to have my loud purring and very loving and affectionate Hunter for a few more years. He is only 9 years old and I have recently moved him across continents so he can be with me.
Although he is insured that has been capped out/refused with just the initial tests to get to this point.
All funds will be used for the purchase of his medicine for treatment and the scans and checks that he will have to have during the treatment.
Any left over or if he unfortunately passes away before he can be treated will be donated to an animal charity.
Thank you in advance for any of your kind donations. Any amount will help.
