Peter Baumann was driving on I-70 in Madison County Ohio on Thursday, April 9 around 11:30am, when a person in a red Rav 4 forced his vehicle into the path of a commercial truck.  Both the truck and Pete pulled off the side of the road.  When Pete got out of his vehicle the driver of the Rav 4 hit Pete throwing him into the air and onto I-70.  A semi had to swerve to avoid hitting his limp body and caused another accident.  The Rav 4 left the scene immediately. Police are saying it looks like Pete may have been hit intentionally. As of April 14 police have located the vehicle and will be locating the driver.  Pete was taken to Grant Hospital in critical condition.  His family can not see him due to the current COVID-19 restrictions which makes so much more difficult for them.  He is currently dependent on a ventilator and has yet to wake up.  He has a multitude of facial and skull fractures in addition to a broken leg, shoulder, ribs, bruised lungs and severe head trauma.   Pete's family members have created a Facebook page #ForPetesSake to post updates.  I am hoping to raise money to help pay Pete's bills while he is in the hospital and during his recovery.  Please consider helping Pete and his family during this difficult time.  If you cannot help financially please pray for his recovery.  I am a family friend and will absolutely make sure this money goes directly to his family and his bills.
