I'm not exaggerating when I say that he is the sweetest 6 year old I know. From keeping a distance from my infant daughter because "I'm a little sick, so I don't want to get the baby sick to be safe" when he had a cold, to wanting to donate all of his money in his piggy bank to a child that is more sick than he is, to being brought to tears because he forgot to pray the night before; words can't express what a kind soul this kid has.
Michael will face the toughest day of his young life on Thursday, February 12th, 2015. He will undergo open heart surgery to address a Sinus Venosus Atrial Septal Defect and Pulmonary Stenosis. He will be under hospital care for several days and then under strict home care for a few weeks after that. His parents will have to take time off of work and we are not completely sure if their insurance is going to cover these procedures. This is why any kind of donation, big or small, is considered a huge blessing to his family.
I can't imagine the fear and stress that Michael's family is experiencing but I know that everything is in God's hands, and that Michael is one tough cookie! Thank you so much for taking the time to read about Michael's story and may you each recieve 10 times the blessings that you bestow.
P.S. words from Michael's father "I'm pretty sure that he is going to rule the world one day!" What can we say, he's just that awesome!! ; )
