Our sweet dog Cookie urgently needs life-saving surgery for a perineal hernia. Cookie has been our baby for 11 years and has always been our comfort, our shadow and the source of so much love and joy in our home. Watching him struggle has been heartbreaking.

A perineal hernia occurs when the muscles near the pelvis weaken so much that internal organs slip into the wrong place, causing pain, difficulty going to the bathroom, and, if untreated, can lead to sudden life-threatening complications. Surgery is the only way to repair the damaged muscles and safely move his organs back where they belong. Without it, his condition will continue to worsen. We have tried everything we can, special diets, careful monitoring, but those measures are no longer enough. He needs this surgery soon to prevent an emergency that could take him from us.

The procedure is estimated to cost around $5,000, and we are doing everything in our power to make sure he gets the care he needs. If you can donate, even the smallest amount brings us one step closer to giving him the chance to live without pain. Please help us in any way you can, and share this page.
