Hi, I'm Dale. This is my 9 week old kitten Billy. At the time of writing this, I have had Billy for 1 week and 3 days. Billy came home on Saturday, 23rd November. Right away, we knew something wasn't right as Billy was showing no interest in any solid food and would only have cat milk. We took him to the vets for a check-up and was found to have had fleas, was seriously anaemic and underweight. He was given medication to stimulate his appetite, and boom, he started to eat boiled chicken. Things seem to be going ok till Sunday, 1st Dec, when Billy hadn't had a poop for a while. We took him back to the vets and at a great cost was given an x-ray and had more bloods taken. It was found that his red cell count had deteriorated, and his x-ray showed some abnormalities, namely and intussusception, where the intestines fold in on itself. We had 2 options number one was to put Billy to sleep and number 2 he is referred to a specialist in Edinburgh. As you can imagine, we went with the latter. Our estimated cost is likely to be 3-5k for investigations to find out what is wrong with billy, however we simply can not afford this. This is where we need your help
Billy has a sentimental meaning to me being named after my late Grandad, so I simply can't lose him.
Billy is currently at the Dick vet in Edinburgh, which is a specialist centre. He is currently having more bloods taken as well as an ultrasound to see what is causing his tummy issues whilst our costs are estimated at 3 to 5k this dosnt include any surgery, Billy may need. If we some how meet the target and there are any funds left these will be donated to the Tay Valley Cat Welfare Society
Thank you every one.
