Kerala is going through a heart breaking phase now with the entire state completely wiped out.
Me and my friends (on ground) have been helping the people in the campsites with transportation, food, everyday essentials and medical supplies in the last one week. We have been using our savings to buy things. Few of the stores were courteous enough to lend us the stocks for now and pay later. But the situation is much more worse that what we could imagine. Everyday the needs and requirements are changing.
After over a weeks struggle by these people to find shelter and accommodation, now we are noticing the next expected phase - health issues due to unhygienic surroundings.
All this is the need of the hour, but even after the rain stops and the water level goes down, life will not get back to normal. All these families in campsites have to start from square one, as they have lost everything!
I know I cannot help everyone in Kerala, but this is a small effort by my team of friends to bring relief to at-least a handful of people going through all this.
We are planning to use the fund raised to bring immediate relief and use the remaining funds to support the needy families to start all over again.
