Help a Great Man's Widow

On Sunday February 8, 2015 tragedy struck the McNabb residence.  Our Mother lost her best friend and soul mate of almost 20 years. He suffered a heart attack lying next to her in bed, with no predetermined health conditions. This horrific event just made an already difficult situation worse. Both Roy and Leeann lost their jobs this year and were trying to short sell their house. The house they dumped every penny of their retirement into. With no savings, income or life insurance, (and only Roy receiving very little unemployment), Leeann has literally lost everything. Because Leeann is still under 60, she cannot even collect Roy’s social security for another 5 years.  

Leeann is fortunate to have her three children, daughter-in-law and grandchildren by her side for emotional and physical support; And extremely grateful for Roy’s brother and sisters who came to her aid for emotion and financial support (stocking her refrigerator and freezer and even paying for Roy’s cremation!). All donations will go to utility bills, food and moving expenses.

She needs every ounce of love and support she can get.  I am asking that everyone we know or that knows Roy and Leeann to please share this. Please help our Mom get through this extremely difficult, life changing experience.

Roy was an incredibly kind and caring man, always willing to help anyone with anything. He loved being outside, tinkering with his car or working in the yard… He will be greatly missed! He would want his beloved wife to be OK.  Thank you to all who share this and/or help. It means the world to us.
