Alice is a four year old, smart, bubbly and loving little girl. She is filled with joy in her heart and certainly has a zealous character and spunk about her. She is so looking forward to going to school and making lots of new friends! But last weekend, she developed a very high fever. Mom took her to the emergency room where she was provided with a series of tests. The doctors on call recommended that she be transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital because of her high fever and the concerned with her blood results. She has been at Phoenix Children's Hospital since Sunday, July 9th.
Thus far, doctors have diagnosed her with ALL Leukemia (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) https://www.stjude.org/disease/acute-lymphoblastic-leukemia-all.html. This type of cancer is when the bone marrow makes too many immature lymphocytes. She has received several blood transfusions, and underwent a spinal tap and bone marrow test. The bone marrow test has resulted at 93%. So now she will need Chemotherapy treatments to help her fight this disease.
Mom and Dad are taking time off from work to be there every step of this journey with Alice. But this will set them back financially with medical deductibles and hospital stays. They will need financial assistance as they will require weekly trips to PCH for the weekly chemotherapy. In addition, Alice has two younger siblings, Olivia (3) and Evan (1) and they will require care from outside the home which will help with personal living expenses to provide a normal living for them too.
Alice is receiving lots of prayers and love from ALL of her family members. We are all wishing her a successful recovery! Olivia and Evan miss their big sissy immensely!
We are also asking for lots of prayers for Alice's recovery. In addition, prayers to all those that suffer from other illnesses that have affected their life as well as their loved ones.
