----------- SECOND FUNDING LAUNCH OCTOBER 2020 ---------
Thank you deeply to all the amazing folks who generously supported our first funding launch in June.
£929 was raised and this has enabled us to to host weekly free Distant Reiki sessions for Black Healing during this critical time between August and end of November.
By the end of November we will have hosted 17 Free Reiki for Black Healing Sessions, with just over 100 folks signing up and financially supported 5 Black Reiki practitioners to hold space and facilitate the necessary healing work in their communities.
At the end of November we will have run out of funding and therefore this Black History Month we are calling out to the wider community again to centre Black healing and thus Black futures- honouring that healing in the present ripples several generations backwards and forwards, recognising non linearity .
As we build our collective futures and deepen into strengthening roots & resources we hope to offer Level 1 Reiki Attunement to folks to empower & increase access to self healing.
Our goal is to raise £3500:
* £1500 = 6 months of free weekly Distant Reiki for Black Healing sessions
* £2500 = 3 groups of level 1 reiki attunement training empowering people to self heal
M'Rele is a voluntary run Black and POC healing justice collective that offers sliding scale Reiki and Massage to Black and POC folks in Brixton. The M’Rele Black Healing Fund is a response to the assault on the bodies and psyches of Black lives, and the intergenerational trauma from colonisation, police brutality and systemic racism.
Through reparative, relational and radical care M’Rele is centering Black Healing as integral to justice and liberation, creating space for restoration and resilience.

The June launch of M’Rele Black Healing Fund aimed to:
1. offer free Distant Reiki healing to the Black Community by Black Healers ( during covid)
2. offer free massage and reiki sessions in person to the Black Community (once covid restrictions allow)
3. financially compensate our Black practitioners so they can best serve their community
If our funding goals can be met M’Rele hopes to open the fund to Black Healing Practitioners across the UK to enable Black healing and wellbeing across all regions. This fund will continue to support out Black practitioners to continue to provide ongoing support to the community.
