My sister-in-law, Jessica Przywara, was diagnosed with liver cancer in January 2015. She and my brother Matt have 2 daughters, Sorsha, 1 1/2 years and Remy, 2 months old.

In your 20's you plan parties and dates, maybe a wedding or starting a family. No one tells you maybe you should prepare for cancer. When Jess & Matty got married in 2011, they talked about having SIX kids. It takes a special person to dream about raising all those kids. For Jess & Matty, family is not only important, it's ESSENTIAL! First came Sorsha, who is now 1.5 years old. Before you knew it they were awaiting the arrival of daughter #2, Remy Belle, who blessed their lives this past December. They were well on their way to sharing endless laughter & joy with a growing tribe. However, shortly after Remy's birth, Jess had some aliments that were believed to be typical "post delivery symptoms." When she turned yellow they knew this was not normal. Jess went to the ER where they got her color back and started running tests.

Diagnosis: Liver cancer.

It's the kind of cancer they warn you not to look up on the Internet because what you'll find is scary. The good news is there is a plan of attack. Instead of starting back at work and showing off pictures of her new baby to coworkers and friends , Jess started chemo and will be showing her baby pictures to doctors and nurses.
If only cancer had Internet access and could look up Jess!
