Lynn Towle's Medical Expense Fund

Donazione protetta
February 4, 2018

Lynn Marie Towle lost her battle to liver disease this morning at 11:15am at the University of MN hospital. She was surrounded by her husband John, her sons Josh and Zach, her daughter in law Taylor, and her brother.

Lynn was loved and will continue to be loved by so many family, friends, and others whose lives she touched. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed.

Even in death, Lynn is helping others.  Her last directive was to her family - Lynn wants her body donated the Univerisity of MN medical research to help fight Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Liver Disease.

We have now changed the purpose of this campaign from raising money to put Lynn on the transplant list to raising money to help the Towles pay for Lynn's medical expenses, which have reached over $100,000.

Lynn's visitation will be held on Friday, February 9th at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home 2130 Dale Street N., Roseville, MN 55113 from 5-6pm.  Memorial service will be held directly following at 6pm.

Thank you to all of you who have shown your love and support to the Towle family. Please continue to pray for them as they grieve and learn to live without their wife, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. Whoever lives by believing in me will never die."
- John 11:25-26
___________________________________________________________

For over 30 years, Lynn Towle has dedicated her life to her family.  She and John met when Lynn was very young. They had 2 boys - Josh and Zach.  Throughout their school years, Lynn ran her own daycare.  Her home was filled with kids, food, family, friends and love.

Lynn dedicated her life to her kids when they were young.  This meant basketball!  John coached both of their boys during their youth years, and Lynn was the backbone that kept this family on task, motivated, organized, and sane.  She spent countless hours driving to practices and games, supporting all of her boys - Josh, Zach and John.  Lynn was their biggest cheerleader.

Eventually, Josh and Zach graduated and left home. Lynn decided to go back to working in the corporate banking world.  She was driven and relentless in pursuing her career, and worked at Western Bank, Ameriprise Financial, and US Bank over the years.  Lynn has had a long career in finance and continued to advance as she became more experienced.

After her boys moved on to their college careers, Lynn realized she still had love to give.  She began spending her spare time volunteering - both with shelter dogs and veterans.  Lynn showed endless compassion for everyone and every life she touched.

Several months ago, Lynn began feeling ill.  On December 24th, 2017, Lynn was diagnosed with  Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Liver Disease.
This is a genetic disorder that she inherited.

Unfortunately, there is no cure.  The only way to save Lynn's life is with a liver transplant.  Before her name can be placed on the transplant list, Lynn needs additional medical treatment to fight infections she has as a result of her damaged liver.  Treatment includes dialysis to keep her kidneys functioning and fighting infection.  Lynn and John have already surpassed the allowed maximum benefit covered by insurance due to Lynn's numerous hospitalizations.

That is why we need your help.

Raising this money will allow Lynn and John to help pay insurance and treatment costs so Lynn can receive the treatment she needs in order to get her name on the donor list.

Each day that she waits for a new liver, her disease progresses.

Tragically, she doesn't have the privilege of waiting.  Lynn needs a new liver ASAP.

This is how we can help.  Lynn has spent her life taking care of others.  It is time for her to be taken care of.  Lynn wants to be here to see her sons married, to meet her future grandchildren, and to be able to retire with John and take a much deserved vacation one day.

We can help these dreams come true.  Lynn would never ask for this kind of help on her own - even when it is a life or death situation.  That is why we are asking for her.  Lynn has touched the lives of so many people.  This is our opportunity to pay love and kindness back onto her.
