In October 2017 Lynn was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of the colon. That’s fancy medical terminology for colon cancer. After months of searching for answers, the symptoms and sickness were finally given a name. Not once did she flinch in fear of death, instead she assumed her position, arms outstretched high to the only One who’s name is greater than that diagnosis: JESUS.
And while her body is taking a lashing; it’s tired, sometimes overwhelmed, often uncomfortable and even in pain, her spirit man is sheltered within the arms of the One who reminds us in Genesis 50:20, what the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good.
I set this GoFundMe account up because our family knows there are so many people wanting to do something; anything to help alleviate the burden while she walks this journey.
While we’ve had so many step up and help, and we’re so grateful for each and every ounce of support we received in so many ways, we also know that the journey has only begun. The next step is starting treatment to kill the remainder of the cancerous cells in her body as well as prevent it from metastasising to any other organs. This is a step that will incur expenses above and beyond what insurance pays for. From extra travel, accommodations within the travel, food, supplements to help her body sustain treatment, skincare to ease the side effects of chemotherapy and potentially radiation therapy, new clothing that’s comfortable as her body shifts and swells from side effects of medications, sickness and treatment ...
And while we know God will provide, we also want everyone to know who’s inquired as to how they can help, that this is a solid way to support our family so there is aid in comfort, nutrition and healing while she undergoes this fight for her life.
After all the lives she’s poured into, surrounded with prayer, loved on, wrapped her arms around; after all the friends and families she’s helped bring hope, healing and restoration to; after all the kids she’s called up to purpose by breathing life, hope, mercy and grace into them, after all the seeds she’s sewn because of who she is from the inside out, our family could only hope that there will be love outstretched to her.
