Lynn  Blackburn, aka “Mimi”, is such a blessing to everyone she is around. She lights up a room when she walks in and brings such positive energy! The Lord has blessed us with the greatest friend, mom, mother-in-law, and “Mimi” we could have asked for. She loves unconditionally and has always given so much of herself to help others and her family. She is so selfless and puts others before her own needs. Most importantly, her heart has always been for people to know the Lord and to have a personal relationship with Him.

Over the years, we have seen her bless many people by helping them in various ways and by meeting their needs. She has spent countless hours holding people as they cry, being there to listen, and helping people through hard times. She has cooked and cleaned for people who are struggling and goes over and beyond to help them.

Lynn has been a youth leader for many years. We have seen her invest so much in young people and encourage them in their relationship with the Lord. She cares so much for them and has helped them choose the right path in life. The Lord has used her in great ways to minister to young people, and they know she is always available at anytime. Those that know her know she never forgets your birthday!

We love watching “Mimi” spoil her grandbabies. She is the most fun and loving Mimi we could ask for. Riley is always talking about her “Mimi” who has taught her many things, like how to plant and care for a garden! Most importantly, Mimi loves to tell her grandbabies about Jesus and how much He loves them! She always has the most fun ways of teaching things to children. We are so thankful for Mimi! She’s such a blessing to our family, and we love her so much!

Recently, Lynn was diagnosed with lymphoma and is undergoing chemotherapy and routine paracentesis. She gains about 7-10 liters of fluid on her abdomen about every 7-10 days. This makes her very miserable and tired. The paracentesis is a long procedure to drain fluid from her abdomen, and it makes her feel exhausted for several days. It’s very hard on her body to gain and lose that much fluid every 10 days. The procedure is painful and the recovery is challenging.
Sadly, she is struggling to sustain her energy and strength during this health challenge. It has been hard to see her so immobile, tired, and sick. She owns her own business and has struggled to work enough due to the side effects of chemotherapy and paracentesis.
We started a fundraiser to help Lynn pay her medical bills and to support her. Please consider donating to help Lynn through this difficult time. Any amount is very appreciated! She has always blessed and helped other people, so I’m believing we can bless her during this time.

Most of all, please join us in praying for Lynn’s healing of this cancer and for comfort and strength for her! Also, please pray that the fluid stops collecting in her abdomen! She believes in the power of prayer! Thank you.
