Hi, my name is Christopher Alan Ramirez. I am 28 years old, and I live in Queens, NY. In August of 2013 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-hodgkins Lymphoma. I continue to battle it today. I've received 9 chemotherapy sessions and 4 different types of chemo since then. The cancer, unfortunately, has slowly gotten worse and life hasn't slowed down a bit to let me catch up.

I, along with my friends and health care providers, remain on the sunny side of all this. Keeping with all my appointments and living every day as if remission is around the corner. Donations will go first and foremost to hospital bills and rent to my land lord. Your donations will help ease the financial strains brought on by my illness and time away from work. I'm hopeful that all of this will be behind me in the near future and I can go on to live my dream of owning a small business and living cancer free for the rest of my days.

In the coming years I see myself happily married to my girlfriend, building furniture in my garage and living life with my friends and family. I also plan on opening a skate shop and becoming a larger influence in my community.

This experience has taught me how to appreciate life and the gifts we take for granted every single day. I have a beautiful girlfriend who has supported me in any way possible for almost 7 years now. My family has helped me beyond measure since the day I was born. My mother has been by my side even when her own problems would've drove a person mad. She's been strong and held my hand through diagnosis and treatment. My family and friends are fighting this right along side me and I could never have asked for a better emotional support system.
