kickin’ Cancers A**

My family recently discovered that My Step-Father, Jeff Dacus, has Lymphoma and it has not been easy. Lymphoma, in my understanding, is a Cancer that affects the Lymphatic system and that system is in charge of disease fighting, I'm sure I don't need to point out the irony there. Anyway, Jeff and my Mother have been in Arizona at a Cancer treatment center leaving me and my siblings to hold down the fort and go to school. It's actually a little funny when you tell someone you can't hangout because you have to go home and cook dinner for your sister and brother. This will lead them to ask why YOU have to cook and it's funny because there's a moment where you contemplate whether or not tell the truth. Option A,  just come up with some excuse like "family bonding". Option B, tell the truth... but if I'm being honest I don't want that to be the truth. I want the truth to be that there wasn't a tumor in his neck, that my parents can make dinner to night, that I don't have to worry that nothing will go wrong. The truth isn't always how we want it and I know that, we all do.
     More on the matter of honesty. The reason for this GoFundMe is because Jeff is unable to work due to the Lymphoma and this week he's going through chemotherapy and the world doesn't stop and wait for you to get better. With my part time job I don't make nearly enough to support a family of five. What I mean by this is that our good old friend BILLS come by; House bills, car bills and guess what cancer treatment bills. And to top it off a rat chewed through our car and that alone is 1,500. We are sinking, my family and I, and the prideful side of me hates asking for help but I'm not dumb, in the end even if Jeff makes a full recovery, and Let's pray he does, we will be nothing but a pile of debt and depression. I'm not asking for a hand out I am simply asking for a hand to just help. lift us out of this pit of depression and pain. ALL funds raised would go towards bill and essential groceries.
