Raising Funds for Lyme of MA

Tax deductible
Hello friends! As some people may or may not be aware of last September I was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme Disease after struggling for years to find a diagnosis for my multi-systemic ilnesses. After a year of treatment, this July I received my first PICC line so my medication would reach my brain faster. I am so happy to have found the answer but the road to recovery is tedious and extensive. I faced my first neurological symptoms 6 years ago and as a result encountered numerous diagnoses, medications and surgeries to help ease my discomfort. Symptoms can vary from arthritis, memory loss, vision loss to various autoimmunes throughout the body. Thankfully my family was determined to discover the true cause behind all of my mysterious illnesses and due to their perserverence I did. I cannot describe how thankful I am to have parents who never gave up and constantly support me throughout this expensive treatment but I tend to think a lot about other individuals who are suffering from Lyme.
Due to the reasoning that Lyme disease is a highly controversial subject, it explains why it is so difficult to receive a proper Lyme disease diagnosis and treatment. Every aspect of Chronic Lyme disease is expensive whether that is the initial test (not the one given out at doctor's offices) to the various types of treatment; insurance tries to avoid becoming involved with these patients due to the high expenses.
The thought of another individual suffering from Lyme unable to afford proper diagnosis and treatment is something I contemplate often. No one should be denied the chance to feel human again. I would love to be able to raise atleast $5,000 to help assist an individual in paying some of their medical bills. The non-profit I am hoping to donate to is Lyme Awareness of Cape Cod which includes helping patients with the financial burden of Lyme while also directing them to proper assistance. Please consider donating as every person deserves the chance to live a happy life!
