Lyme disease can be devastating.

Imagine you’re on a lovely camping trip in Vermont and you find a tick attached to your leg. Days later your flat on your back with debilitating  pain, swelling, naseau and dizziness. After 10 weeks of antibiotics not much has changed accept you lose your job of 27 years because you can’t get out of bed. After seeing countless doctors and tests- one thing is certain. You have Lyme and it’s not going anywhere without a fight. My sister Jodi has been fighting Lyme with Bartinella for over a year. Lyme likes to hide, it’s sneaky, it hides in blood work and it moves and changes. It makes it very hard to treat and very hard to recover! My sister finally has a doctor treating her who has her taking IV medicines she has daily and we are noticing a small sign of hope! The problem is she had temporary disability but has been denied an extension. She has personally had more than $10,000 in medical bills alone. She’s hoping to get a disability extension until she can work again. She has a hearing in October and needs help between now and then.
